15 Mistakes Subs Make. And How to Avoid Them Domina Berlin

Looking for a Domina in Berlin and BDSM fascinates you. Maybe you’ve had fantasies for a long time that you finally want to explore. Maybe you’re about to have your first session. Either way, this article will help you avoid the most common mistakes I see as a Dominatrix in Berlin.

Mistakes are human. But most of them are easy to avoid once you know what matters. In my FAQ you’ll find answers to the most common questions about sessions. Here, we focus on the mistakes you shouldn’t make in the first place.

Mistake #1: Not Communicating Your Limits

Many beginners think they have to “go along with everything” to be considered a good sub. They hide their limits or simply say “Do whatever you want.” That sounds submissive, but it’s dangerous and disrespectful.

A good sub knows their limits and names them. Hard limits are things that must never happen. Soft limits are areas that intrigue you but where you feel uncertain. Both need to be communicated clearly, ideally in writing before the session.

I am beginner-friendly and take time during our pre-session conversation to discuss exactly this. We’ll go over safewords, signals and everything you need to feel safe. On my preferences page you can see what I offer and what’s off limits for me.

„Setting limits is not a contradiction to submission. It is its prerequisite.“

Mistake #2: Constant Messages and Impatience

You send me a message and expect an immediate response. An hour passes, so you message again. Then again, perhaps even through another channel.

That is not persistence. It is disrespect for my time.

I have a full life and many responsibilities outside of my sessions. I reply when I have the time and choose to do so. One respectful message is enough. I will get back to you when I can.

Repeated messages, constant pushing, or attempts to contact me through other channels will result in being blocked. There are no exceptions.

I am not available on demand, and I am not a fetish dispenser. If you want my attention, learn to respect my time. Patience is part of submission, and knowing how to wait is part of the experience.

Mistake #3: Disrespectful Address

To you, I am your Mistress, your Goddess, your Domina. Show me respect at all times. That starts with your very first message.

A message like “Hello, are you available tomorrow?” is acceptable. “Hey babe, what’s up?” is not. The way you address me tells me everything I need to know about you. Those who don’t address me respectfully won’t get a reply.

Use formal address until I tell you otherwise. And even then: respect remains.

Mistake #4: Hiding Health Conditions

Asthma, heart problems, joint issues, medications, allergies. All of this affects what’s possible in a session and what isn’t. Those who hide such information put themselves in danger.

Share every relevant health detail with me. I will adjust the session accordingly so it stays intense yet safe. This isn’t weakness. It’s responsibility, towards yourself and towards me

Mistake #5: Not Introducing Yourself

You write to me wanting a session immediately. No name, no age, no experience, no preferences. Just “When are you free?”

That’s not how this works. Introduce yourself. Tell me briefly who you are, what interests you and whether you have experience with BDSM. It doesn’t need to be a novel. But a minimum of context helps me assess whether and how we’re a good fit. An anonymous booking request with no information will not be answered.

Mistake #6: Lying About Experience

Some subs claim to be experienced when they’re actually beginners. Out of shame or insecurity. Others exaggerate their experience to impress. Both are dangerous, because I calibrate the intensity of the session based on what you tell me.

Be honest. If you’re a beginner, say so. I am beginner-friendly and happy to guide you step by step into the world of BDSM. There’s no reason to be ashamed. On the contrary: honesty shows strength.

Mistake #7: Prying Into the Domina's Private Life

“What’s your real name?”, “Do you have a boyfriend?”, “What do you do outside of this?” Some subs confuse a professional Dominatrix with a dating partner. These aren’t harmless questions. They’re intrusive.

My Domina name is my name. My private life is none of your business. Those who pry into my personal life or try to contact me outside my official channels will be blocked immediately. If you’re looking for information about me, you’ll find everything on my About Me page.

Mistake #8 Not Sending the Deposit

No deposit, no further discussion.

A deposit is a simple way of showing that you are serious about booking a session. Endless messages without taking this step usually tell me that you are not ready to commit and I am not interested in spending my time on endless enquiries.

If I decide that I would like to have a session with you, my first reply will include the deposit link. Once the deposit has been sent, I will continue the conversation and finalize the details with you.

This keeps the booking process clear, efficient, and respectful of both our time.

Mistake #9: Trying to Negotiate My Rates

Trying to negotiate my rates is a complete no-go. My prices are carefully calculated and reflect much more than the time we spend together.

As a self-employed professional in Germany, I cover my own taxes, health insurance and business expenses. Beyond that, maintaining the level of luxury I offer requires significant investment in clothing, latex, equipment, beauty, fitness and personal wellbeing.

A session also involves preparation, communication, planning, setting up the space and everything that happens before and after you arrive. You are paying not only for the hours on the clock, but for my experience, expertise, time, presence and the quality of the experience I create for you.

My rates are therefore firm and not open to negotiation.

If they are above your budget, that simply means I may not be the right Mistress for you and that’s perfectly fine. Find someone whose rates and style fit you better, rather than asking me to reduce my value.

Mistake #10: Neglecting Hygiene

You’d be surprised how often this happens. Showing up unkempt isn’t just unpleasant. It’s a sign of disrespect.

Shower immediately before the session, not just in the morning. Brush your teeth. Use deodorant. Trim your fingernails. Wear clean clothes. At Fetisch Institut Berlin, a bathroom with shower is available if you’d like to freshen up on site.

Respect doesn’t start at the door. It shows in your preparation.

Mistake #11: Intimate Area Not Shaved

An unshaved intimate area is not acceptable with me. This is not an optional recommendation. It is mandatory.

Intimate area freshly shaved. No exceptions. If you’re unsure what I expect: now you know.

Mistake #12: Arriving Late

Being late is disrespectful to my time, my preparation, and the experience I have created for you. Every minute you are late comes off your session time, the end time does not move.

Plan to arrive around five minutes early, but ring exactly at the agreed time. If you are running late, inform me immediately. Once in a while, unexpected things happen, but repeated lateness becomes a matter of reliability.

Reliability is a form of submission.

Mistake #13: Last-Minute Cancellations or No-Shows

Last-minute cancellations and no-shows are the worst expression of disrespect. I prepare every session, reserve time and space. Those who simply don’t show up waste my time.

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. The deposit is non-refundable but can be applied to a new session for up to 60 days. No-shows will be blocked.

Mistake #14: Touching Without Permission

You’re in a session and you just reach out. You touch me without asking. That’s not spontaneity. That’s crossing a boundary.

You touch me only when I allow it. This applies to every situation, every part of my body, without exception. Anyone who breaks this rule ends the session immediately. There is no second chance.

Mistake #15: Not Giving Feedback

The session is over, you go home, and I never hear from you again. No feedback, no response, nothing. That’s a shame, because feedback helps both of us.

Leave an entry in my guestbook or write me an e-mail. What did you enjoy? What was new? What would you wish for next time? Honest feedback helps me tailor future sessions even better to you. And it shows me that you value our time together.
